The Victorian Government has prepared draft plans for activity centres in Hawthorn, Glenferrie, Auburn and Kew Junction.
Safe active transport infrastructure for walking and cycling is needed to provide access to and between these activity centres.
Feedback and reports from Community Reference Groups (CRG) consultations for each of these locations are available [here].
Published feedback currently includes:
Kew Activity Centre: “There is strong community support for better pedestrian crossings, enhanced laneways, and safer walking and cycling routes—particularly off-road connections.”
Hawthorn, Glenferrie & Auburn Centres: “Develop a ‘Rail Trail’ connecting Hawthorn, Glenferrie and Auburn and link to the Main Yarra Trail.”
You can provide your feedback on the Activity Centres Program – Phase 2 [here]
This consultation is open until 19 October.
