The Kew Railway Line Trail can be constructed following the alignment of the old Kew Railway Line easement.
This will provide a safe offroad connection to Hawthorn to Box Hill train line and trail.
Boroondara BUG is working with City of Boroondara council and local MPs to get this trail extended through to the old Vicroads site at Kew where it can join the Wellington Rd on-road lanes and potentially further on Northbound towards the Main Yarra Trail.
This trail would be useful for locals wishing to access the Hawthorn to Box Hill trail and for students/staff at Kew Primary School, Ruyton Girls School, MLC, Trinity Grammar & Xavier College as well as the shopping precinct around Kew Junction.
