This land is the old transport corridor of the defunct Kew Railway line.

It appears that current intentions are to rezone the land for housing.

There is a golden opportunity to use some of this corridor to create the Kew Railway Line Trail that would:

  • Provide a shared path for safe active transport – including walkers, bikes, scooters and wheelchairs.
  • Connect Kew junction to the Grace Park and the nearby Glenferrie Road precinct and the Hawthorn to Box Hill Trail
  • Provide a safe trail for kids to ride their bikes

You can make a submission to the government [here].

Note: submissions close on 16 August
